Sunday School:
Sunday School is where it happens!  If you want to connect with church family and find your place of belonging, then you want to be involved in a small group Bible Study called Sunday School on Sunday mornings at 9:30.  There are classes for babies to senior adults.  Visitors can ask any of our greeters who will be happy to guide you to a Sunday School Class.   If you're not involved in a Sunday School Class, give one a try this week! Children's Ministry:

From the very first time Laura Street met as a mission from First Baptist they have had a desire to reach out to children in the community.  Laura Street loves children and wants to see them come to a saving faith of Jesus Christ and have a life that is changed for Him.  There is Sunday School for every age at Laura Street.  The children's department has "Bible Adventures" Sunday School for grades 1st-4th where children rotate each week to different Bible learning stations.  On Wednesday's there is TeamKID discipleship classes for all kid ages where kids experience living God's Word in their life by study, play, and snacks.   We also try to provide a fall and spring event for kids and families.  Laura Street also provides the only daytime Vacation Bible School in the area every summer.

Youth Ministry:

Laura Street has a desire to see students live and grow with Him. The focus of Youth is to have more than just a space for youth to hang out, but to also train them and build them up to be leaders in today's world. They do this through discipleship, weekly worship, and many events.  They meet together weekly as well as have several events throughout the year, Including Camp, Dare 2 Share, Jr. High Campout, and many more! There are Sunday School classes in the 2 story building (More info Here) and Go Wide, a time of fellowship and discipleship, in the evening. On Wednesday night they have a time of worship and Study God's Word. For more info on youth ministry, visit LauraStreetYouth.com

The Worship Choir is a wonderful group of willing people dedicated to giving worship and praise to God.  They meet every week in the choir room on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.  They share special pieces at least once a month as well as help lead the worship in the 8:15 service.   They provide musical opportunities throughout the year for our congregation and community to hear the Gospel.

The Worship Team is a group of musicians who wish to provide worship music in the 10:45 service.  Currently the group consists of a keyboard player/singer, bass guitarist, drummer, and two vocalists.  The desire of the group is to engage all people in worship to God by modeling that through their worship to God.

Women's Ministry:

The task of the women's ministry team is to provide events and studies that will strengthen and encourage women in the Word of God at Laura Street.  From conferences, fellowships, and Bible studies there is always something happening at Laura Street for women. The team is also taken on the responsibility of several mission projects.  They help promote the annual Lottie Moon International Missions Christmas Offering and the Annie Armstrong North American Missions Easter Offering.  The ladies also collect items for the area local nursing homes to be used in their game prizes.  If you are interested in Serving in Women's Ministry, Contact the Church Office!

Senior Adult Ministry:

Laura Street values and treasures the senior adults in the church family.  For many years the "Jolly Elders" have gathered for luncheons, trips, and other events that help them grow in their fellowship with the Lord.  They are currently praying and seeking God's plan for the future of the group as they grow.  The group does do a fall Bible Study tour the second week of September every year.

Growing is a vital part of life.  On Wednesday's at Laura Street we purpose to provide studies to help you grow spiritually.   Studies begin after the $1 dinner usually around 6:30-6:45 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m.   Sessions usually last for six weeks at a time and new classes are offered year-round.  If you want to experience "Ultimate Living" you'll want to attend one of the adult classes being offered. LSBC also has Life Transformation Groups for all ages, for one on one discipleship or in a group.

$1 Dinner:

It can be hard to get everything done in the day and we want to help you make growing in your knowledge of God's Word a priority.  So that you can fill your stomach as well as your soul we provide a meal that only costs a dollar each Wednesday.  Then, plan to stay and participate in a discipleship study.

The Brotherhood team strives to build guys up to be the spiritual leader in their family, community, and nation.   The team hosts a "Wild Game Supper" in the spring for the guys to gather for fellowship and testimony time.   You can find the brothers busy serving the church in many ways throughout the many ministries of the church family.

We try to take 2 Mission Trips every summer, one in the summer and another in the winter. We have done projects in the past such as building, painting, remodeling, helping with events and most importantly, spreading God's love to others.
